You'd think my closet was a store
and not a private collection.
One could actually shop in there
and have quite a wide selection...
not just of colors, trends and styles
but of sizes, 4 through 12.
Truth be told, I've worn them all,
(not that I'm proud of myself).
It'd be nice, and quite a bit cheaper,
if I could stay one size.
and 6's filled my closet,
(with a few 8's and 10's as standbys).
I was motivated to clean out my closet this week. Although I know my weight has fluctuated throughout the years, I was still stunned to discover the variety of sizes represented. I also confirmed why Ann Taylor is my favorite...they really do mark their sizes generously! I will buy anything there just because I can go down a size every time.
I remember my Auntie Chickie's medicine cabinet. It was so filled with prescription drugs it looked like a pharmacy. I didn't understand. Well, the years have passed and I am beginning to understand all too well!
My first illustrated collection of poems is available for purchase.
